Odd groaning noise from from driver side only on initial take off??

I know diagnosing a noise over an internet forum is difficult but here goes.

When I first drive the car in the morning upon first taking off I hear a groaning noise from the front driver side. It lasts for about 2-3 seconds then goes away and I don't hear it again until the next day. This only happens once a day upon first driving the car. Any idea's what it could be? Thanks

Have you checked your power steering fluid level? Mine started making a groaning noise in the morning just like this and I found out I had a small leak.

Just to update the thread, so far looks like the problem was a missing front left caliper anti rattle clip. Bought a new one and installed it and so far so good.
