    Camshaft sensor G40

    Hello.

My car suddenly became a little harder to start, need to hold it for like 4-5secs then it starts and works like normal.
The car is an 2000 S6 Avant (4.2V8)

I read out the fault codes and it showed G40 Camshaft sensor open/short.
So i looked it up and seems to be the issue, as i find alot of similar cases.

However i have ordered one sensor now, as i see its one located under the coolant tank.
But on a diagram i found:

It looks like there may be one infront of the cam aswell on the other side?
This could however be wrong diagram / another model.

So basically can any1 confirm if there are only 1, or is it 2 on the S6 4.2 Engine?

There is one on each head as shown in the diagram ... the heads are basically flipped around from driver's to passenger side. Same thing with the cam chain tensioners ...
