My car has a little over 39.5k miles, I had the 35k service done in July. I check the oil gauge every now and again but it has always been full. Is this anything to be concerned about and bring up to my service advisor?

Well my car is a 2014, I thought oil consumption was an issue for 2009&2010?

if im reading it correct you had an oil change done at 35k and have put on 4.5k since. if thats the case, looks alright to me. less than 1/2 a qt in 5k is perfectly normal. And being that you have a 2014 your car should not have oil consumption issues unless your motor has experienced issues internally. Oil consumption issues were on the 09-11 cars, fixed by the 2012 model year.

That is correct. Thanks for clearing it up for me!

If youre burning a quart every 5000+ then thats completely normal. Id recommend oil changes at every 5000 because the dealer intervals are set to 10k which honestly isnt good in the long term.

My 2013 allroad burned about a half to 3/4 of a quart of oil every 10k miles. After my 65k service, it stopped burning any oil. No clue why. I do use BGMOA at every oil change.
