A7- looks like modern muscluar 80's Trans Am in a good way

So I love the lines of the A7- it is a sleek car with a unique and beautiful design, but every now and then I look at it and think it shares some similar shapes and angles and proportions to the Trans Am.
My dad had the 15 year anniversary car.

but when I see a A7 with snowflake wheels i think -


The rear lines look like the 2 gen


Im probably the only one that sees it this way, and thats ok but I love it.

Just to be clear I don't really think the A7 looks like a 67 Fastback Mustang but given my love of the car and specifically the ass end of the car it doesn't surprise me that I love the A7 lines. I'd like to get a couple of pictures of them together at some point.

The design similarity is not obvious here is my list

1. the convex curve of the doors creates a wide visual impact.
2. It is a hatchback, but with the rear spoiler down the sharp angle to the rear tail lights Creates another powerful statement, the car ends here with the crisp compound curves.

3. The T-Tops are just the perfect 80s detail. Joking.

The A7 stands on its own as one of the most beautiful cars produced, but I there are a couple combination of angles and curves that invoke a muscle car design. I doubt it was intentional but I feel the design reflects a modern muscle car image.
