Perforated leather steering wheel upgrade options

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I would like to change my steering wheel on my 15 S5 to perforated leather.

    What are my options?

I believe the RS5 has perforated leather, but do other Audi's have a perforated option as well?
Are all newer Audi steering wheels the same size and compatible (with DSG paddles)?

I know there are also some "re manufactured" wheels on ebay form eastern Europe. Has anyone used them?

I had the air/leather combo. It's my preference. Came from an RS6 IIRC.

I agree, I'm not a fan of the top and bottom of the wheel in perforated leather but it does feel a little cooler. A friend of mine had Carbon added to the top and bottom of his wheel, you need to wear gloves to drive the car for 6 months of the year, it's just too hot to touch.

You have to wear gloves because of the carbon?

When it's 120' outside, a carbon wheel gets pretty hot!

I guess I'm mostly your Dad and sometimes a douchebag off the track. Racer mode is reserved for track only, it's not conductive to driving long distances or cruising. Whomever made up that picture did forget two very common ones, the arm out the window left hand at 10, and the "limp wrist" no grip at 12.

The S line steering wheel in my A4 has the combo airleather and smooth with the flat bottom. I believe it's the same as the S4s. Love it!

It's just find for long distance driving. Drive a car without an arm rest and it's the most comfortable.
