    2008 A4 - Extremely Rough Idle

On my way to class just now and I'm pulling in and I notice the car idles extremely rough.

I took a video from my phone so hopefully it shows up.

I'm hoping it's the coil packs but from how aggressive it is I think it may be the PCV. I'm not too sure so if someone could watch the video and try to point me in the right direction that would be awesome.

make sure your dipstick is seated all the way in? Sound like a vac leak to me.

Forgot to mention, it's not throwing any codes.

Checked the dipstick and oil cap, both were seated correctly.

This happened to my car a while back and it would only idle real rough occasionally for a few minutes and then run normal. Once it happened I changed the spark plugs and coil packs, ran fine for a while and then I started getting a high idle and my N80 purge valve was bad. replaced that and has been running fine ever since.

Would definitely look into the plugs/coils and the $10 N80.. the N80 takes literally like 10 minutes to replace.

There may not be any check engine lights, but there may be stored codes. Did you scan with vcds?
