it had a stock 2.5 4cyl with no aftermarket support, and was slow.

me and a buddy bought a 97 a4 with no title. i kept the drive train while he took most of the interior and lights. one day, sitting in the garage, i decided i would try and make the 1.8 fit in the s10. i used the audi 5spd.

audi torsen welded up fo rwd. no front shafts were used

the 1.8 is stock except for 3" catless dp, cheap metal diverter valve, and icm delete with newer coils

built 2.5 exhaust from dp back

audi's rear diff is different than every other axle ive found. all solid axles ive found have the ring gear on the left. audi's is on the right. didnt find that out tilli had it running. 5 reverse gears, 1 forward. so after some brainstorming and almost giving up, it came to me. i needed to flip the axle, but doing that makes it high pinion and the pinion bearings cant get oil. in comes toyota to the rescue. toyota high pinion third, flipped over to low pinion, puts ring gear on right side. bam, now 5 forward, 1 reverse. had the toyota shafts machined for 5 lug s10 pattern and s10 blazer rear disks. toyota driveshaft and audi 2 piece combined to get me moving.

this was the hardest part of the swap to me. $800 in an axle, not knowing if it would work and survive. as of right now, i have put about 1200 miles on this setup.

couple questions. i have a Innovate ot-2 system. it is a wideband with datalogging and bluetooths to iphone. i put an extra bung in my down pipe for it, but then thought, can the wideband be signaled into the ecu through the second o2 sensor? for future tuning purposes? also, what does everyone think of the revo tuning for the aeb? would i benifit from full 3" exhaust? would swapping to me7.5 be better?

This is awesome. AEB which I believe is me5 has no wideband for the ecu, you would have to swap. How did you end up supporting the trans?

I love my tune. Inexpensive and does just the same as the expensive ones.
