Audi Side Assist - brightness level problem - '16 S7

I really like the Audi Side Assist. I had it on my ’15 S5 and now on my ’16 S7 and it has saved me a number of times. One problem on the S7. When the car is shut down the brightness of the warning lights in the mirrors automatically goes to the minimum. Minimum brightness is not adequate for my driving environment so I have to reset the brightness every time I drive the car. I do forget to reset and have made mistakes as a result.

How do I (can I) make the brightness remain at my desired setting? There is a note in the manual that states that driver settings are remembered by the key. Apparently that does not include setting for the Side Assist. TIA
    Eric

Disable or switch off the remote/advance key option (I don't remember what it's called off hand) in the MMI, that should solve your problem.
    Hope this helps.

Had the same problem since my car was delivered.. The 5F comfort / convenience controller will need to be replaced. Dealer replaced mine. Problem solved.

Set the lights to what you want in MMI, then when you shut the car down, lock it using the fob, NOT the door touch sensor. Does that retain the setting?

Have you stored your settings in memory 1 or 2, on the door, after setting the brightness?

I just tried that but to no avail, thanks for the suggestion.

I don't find a remote key option on the MMI. I will keep looking. Thanks

I find that sometimes the brightness setting will keep at Full brightness, and sometimes it will revert back to minimum brightness for no apparent reason.

MMI has some gremlins working inside.

I stored all settings onto one key FOB, and I don't use my 2nd key FOB at all
