Well I THOUGHT I was a decent mechcanic..... Tried changing my own oil on my A5 3.2. Didn't seem to complicated. Put inn 5 qts. of the castrol, tightened everything up and went for a short spin. Pulled back in and it seemed ok. Took it out again for an AGGRESSIVE spin and when i pulled in there was oil EVERYWHERE under the hood! My question is.....How worried should i be ?

    Hows the oil level?

Have you started looking for leaks of perhaps a hole in the block?

So I panicked that I did the whole oil change wrong... came home and redid it ! This time HAND tightened the oil filter and didn't use the wrench .... I think I over tightened the filter ! Went and bought new crush washer from dealer and today I'm hoping we have no leaks ! I was just worried I might have blown something else !

Is it me or does the MMI take FOREVER to register the oil level ??? I've driven the car 50 miles and it Still tells me the oil has to heat up ! Did i perhaps damage the sensor? I just ordered the dipstick from ECS ! I can't take not knowing !

check your sensor of your hood, when changing oil ,adding oil the mmi will only register if your sensor of your hood works,it might be dirty.
You can check if your hood sensor works or not by open your hood and you see on your dashboard a red hood, just like when a door is open.
If it's not turning red ,your sensor is dirty or broken.
