Was wondering if anyone has the injector teflon seal installer and injector puller tool. I would like to either purchase or rent.

I made a tool to install the teflon seals by taking an aluminum dowel and sanding it into a cone. Use it to gently flare/stretch the seal as needed to get it onto the injector and then compress it back down to normal size with your fingers. Ad far as the puller, I've never needed anything beyond twisting and pulling by hand.

Obviously you can get one from ECS. Works well.

Ok so im hoping my injectors will come out fairly easily. Any idea of the diameter of the injector tip?

I pulled mine by hand as well. I know VW makes a tool, and they make it sound like the world will end if you don't have it. I would try first before spending money. I didn't have to replace the Teflon seals as they were fine on the injectors I swapped in.

I just did my injector seals last week, all of the injectors pulled out with the intake manifold... As far as the seals, I cut the old ones off with a knife. Stretched the news ones over a semi sharpened round pencil, slipped them on the injector. If you have a 8mm socket I think it was just work it over the seal while it's in the injector groove. It will start to go back to size... Next slowly press the injector into the head, if you are easily worrisome before fully pushing the injector in; pull it out and make sure it is setting proper. It will begin to flush with the injector. Push it in completely, I think these are technically one time use so once you set them leave them alone! Have fun. A little twisting helped them form in the head nicely...

I've reused the teflon seals multiple times before replacing them. You can probably do it 4-5 times before you have to worry about a bad seal.

Great info guys! Just pulled the turbo today. Looks like cylinder 1 is toast. The exhaust port was all wet on the cylinder head. Ill be pulling the head when time allows.

I'd be willing to bet money it's not the heads fault. I'm guessing you have bad rings on that cylinder. Do a compression and leakdown test prior to tearing it apart.

Another symptom that sprung up around the same time was an oil leak coming out of the first connection upper oring point out of the straight tube that is pressed into the block. This may have something to do with blowby, but i have no idea how oil can go up that far in the dipstick tube. Good thing my otc leakdown and compression tester have come in. How have those tools been treating you Aluthman?

They worked great for me when I used them last. Been in storage for a while now though. You can get an oil leak there by the crankcase being pressurized. This happens when your PCV setup can't keep up with blowby gases (presumably from bad rings). This sounds a lot like the issue I had, but my bad rings were in cylinder #2 and #3.

That was a ...well, tiresome thread as i remember. When i open the oil cap when running i get a slight vacuum, which is good, but smoke starts coming out. Its so odd as my compression was 180 across the board more than a month ago. Very curious as to what i will find.

I had good compression also, but apparently my oil control rings weren't doing their job. Whatever the cause, a new set of rings fixed it.

You really should replace the teflon seals. They're not expensive.

The issue with the tools is not getting the seal on, but recompressing it once it is on.

You can wrap up the seals in electrical tape then compress using a hose clamp. Ive rebuild a steering rack using this method. Alot of times you can get away from using special tools just by being creative. I was going to buy the tool but now it doesnt look so bad.

Electrical tape has rubber and acrylic based adhesives that contain mineral oils and shouldn't touch teflon rings... But creative yes.

Anyone knows this works for our car? This says equivalent to T10133, whereas our car calls for T10133C - not sure the difference.

That looks like it. You have the puller, teflon ring expander, and 3 teflon ring compressors.
