Trip Computer: Premium to Premium + stalks retrofit

Has anyone replaced their Premium stalks with Premium + stalks to get full trip computer functionality? I see a post about it from 5 yrs ago, but am wondering if anyone has done this and has insights on the process.

Yea I did it. Bought a trip computer stalk off eBay for about $40 I think. That's pretty straight forward if you're OK with removing the steering wheel and air bag. Then you have to make a change in VCDS....I think it was just in the instrument cluster module. Maybe the steering wheel module too. I don't remember but I searched and found it all.
