    Anyone with a B8 Short throw shifter....

    Does anyone in this area have a ECS or JHM B8 (A4,A5,S4,S5) short throw shifter installed on their car that I could simply stop by and feel how tight the shifts are. No need to drive the car, just feel how much closer the shifts are. I've installed short throw shifter on all my manual transmission cars and they make a world of difference!

    @naiveturtle has one. It's uh, definitely short and tight (I can't say that without my brain falling directly into the gutter....).

    I have a JHM shifter and Black Forest Industries weighted shift knobin my S5. I love how short the shifts are now. Downside is that it is now extremely apparent that my shift linkage with the plastic ball joint is pretty worn out.

    You're welcome to come try it for yourself sometime.

    Awesome! I'm pretty sure I'll be driving down to Portland in Oct. I have not drilled down the date just yet. I'll drive to you and should take 5 mins. PM me your phone!

    Does the ball joint, just need some grease?
