First I apologize if this post ends up in the wrong place. Im new to posting and will make sure to adhere to all rules and standards of conduct that are already set. Please chime in if anyone has ever experienced this problem.
I have a 2011 B8 A4. I come out to crank it, it starts but misfires and stumbles horribly. Turned the car off and waited a moment. Tried to start once more and now I have crank no start. Also the EPC and the CEL light are displayed.
After towing home I used a OBD 2 scanner to check for any codes and it pulled p2294 - http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index...6/P2294/008852
18726/P2294/008852 - Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (N276): Open Circuit
Possible Symptoms
Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON
Possible Causes
Wiring and/or connections faulty
Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (N276) defective
Possible Solutions
Check wiring and connections
Check / Replace N276
Special Notes
On some engines, the N276 may be refered to as the N290 in the factory wiring diagram.
So far I have changed the Crankshaft Position Sensor and HPFP. After changing the HPFP I erased the code and scanned to see if the code would come back and it does not which leads me to believe the the HPFP was faulty and has been fixed. I have verified that fuel is pumping and I have spark. Also the battery is brand new. Has anyone else experienced this problem or can anyone give any ideas to a possible solution? All suggestions will be considered.
-Thanks
