Hey all. I have been thinking of getting Volkswagen Golf R mk6. I know this is an Audi forum and it is kinda biased to ask here but would like to get your opinions.

I currently own a 2013 Audi A5 coupe 2.0 TFSI non S line. I have always love the A5 especially RS5. I love my car so much right now, but I will love it even more if I get to mod the body to an RS5/S5 looks. My car is stock everything.

Is it wise to swap/sell the car for a VW Golf R mk6? or even the Golf R mk7? both stock. Do you guys think it is worth it? Taking into account the looks of the car after mods and the sound of the exhaust. Performance (stage 1, 2 etc) isn't an issue for me.

    Thank you!

If you're not worried about performance, stick with your A5. The A5 has a certain class and elegance to it that no Golf can ever touch. The only reason to go the VW route would be for the performance.

As far as the Golfs go, I would never touch a Mk6. The Mk7 R is miles ahead of the Mk6, and certainly blows away your A5 from a performance perspective. It's a fun car.

ahhh okay. yeah Audi is sporty yet classy. Golf is more of a youthful fun car to drive and play around with.

In terms of what is the Mk7 miles away from the mk6?

If you've got a pubey beard that doesn't connect, you tell your friends "vape is life bruh," or you tend to only shower once every 4 to 5 days, the mk6 is a great fit.
