Sorry for the re post.I posted this in chatter box and could not move it .

Ok guy i have been reading everything I can pull up on the forums trying to solve this . I have a 2008 a4 2.0t 147,000 miles (I bought it with 141,000) . Labor Day weekend I decided to do a cam follower I did not know the condition of it being I just bought the car . When I did the service I pulled fuse 28 and ran the car dry changed the follower and reassembled . The old follower had the black coating worn off and a some wear to it . I drove the car and everything seemed fine . The next morning I drove to work and the car if I remember right ran ok .( don't run it hard at 4am and still a little sleepy ) . Car sat all day till 5 pm and on my was home going over the Ortega highway in C.A. (Mountain roads) I went to give it some throttle and car had no go and would not go past 4,000 rpm.I drove that way for about 20mile with no cel . I got home and pulled codes p0299 and p0101 . Everything I read was the diverter valve , so I pulled and installed a go fast bits dv+. And changed the air filter and cleaned the maf . These had no effect on the car . then I changed the pcv valve and fuel filter. Still no change . I ordered my Ross tech cable and checked my maf readings 1.82-2.0 g/s at idle and 28-30 g/s at 4,000 rpm 2nd gear pull . I also watched the boost and had ~950 mbar across the board idle trough all gears and rpms . My fuel pressures seem ok but saw my low pressure fuel pump was at 63% duty cycle befor the filter change the up to 67% after . I ordere a new maf and will be here Monday but not convinced this is the fix . Can anyone please help me ?

Ok did more testing today and re cleaned my maf . Getting reading 3.80-4 at idle with a/c running ~ 2 with a/c off . And around 30 at 4000 rpm . I smoke tested and had no leaks . I disconnected the waste gate hose and put air to it and watched the rod move freely . I checked boost controlling the waste gate with the air compressor and couldn't get a reading over 960 mbar . N75 seems to be working fine . I shut the engine off and can't hear the turbo wind down . So I guessing I'm in for a turbo. Anything else I should check . Next is to remove the turbo .

Just a thought but you're getting 950mbar (basically atmospheric pressure) throughout the gears? Even that should change since the engine pulls vacuum at idle. Maybe your MAP sensor is shot and causing limp mode. Much easier and cheaper fix than the turbo, I think there's one for sale in the classifieds (it's a 3 bar, but will work fine on stock applications) or buy one and swap it out. Should take 5 mins it's on top of the drivers side intercooler.

67% duty on the LPFP at warm idle? That's very high should be 55% or less, probably time to swap that out too, it was giving me the p0299 code but I also had a code for the low fuel pressure as well so probably not your immediate issue.

The boost will fluctuate but only about 920-960 . I will hook up the air compressor with my boost leak tester I made and see what it reads . I'll also pull it and see what it looks like . My fuel pump reads anywhere from 63-67% at idle and high pressure pump is getting around 110 psi .

Update . If anyone comes across this hope it helps . Sent the car to the dealer tech found that the turbo locked up some how. He spun it and the turbo is working fine car is running great . Oil is really black and still have 5,000 mile to go before a change . I suspect turbo seals are bad because it's also burning a lot of oil . Oil change and new turbo Sunday.

Well the valve cover could be cracked as well as that causes extreme oil burning, maybe it broke and a piece ended up in the turbo and locked the turbo up?
