    What could be causing this??

Washed my car the other day, including an engine cleaning (which I had not done for a long time). Took the car out for a test drive that evening and the car ran perfectly.

Car sits for two days. I start it up to take it to dinner, the lights on the sports diff control and the traction control button both DO NOT illuminate. Also, the A/C doesn't work, just blows warm air. I tried restarting the car several times, no change.

EDIT FOR UPDATE: Just started the car back up since first time it did the above, works perfectly fine now. What gives? Any ideas from the codes below? I'm a novice at this stuff.

Did you use a pressure washer on the engine?

I don't have a fuse tester, may have to buy one.

Negative, not even a hose. Used a degreaser and detail spray.

You don't need to buy a fuse tester. You pull the fuse and see if it's good or not. Scan it!

You need to scan for codes and possibly do a DTC clear and see if things return to normal. Without that, it's like shooting in the dark with these cars. This is why people should invest in a useful tool like VAGCOM.

I have VAGCOM, I'll run for codes today. Would it show a failed fuse?
