    4.2 FSI...need intake manifold actuator & linkage

The linkage going from the intake manifold actuator to the lever is missing. Looking closely at the actuator....it looks like it broke off! The variable manifold moves freely with no issues. I don't necessarily need a new one, does anyone know a source for a used actuator and linkage arm? Thank You...

I believe they are only available as a kti in the aftermarket and are made out of aluminum.Gruven parts makes them for the rs4 and some other cars. Not for a q7 but they might be your best bet, maybe they make a set that will work.

No luck finding the actuator and link arm at Gruven. Luckily I did find one on-line, someone was selling an intake manifold, and I asked if they would sell the actuator separately - and they agreed. Whew...!!!! These items are not easy to find, and NOT cheap.

Hello Gang....just an update. I eventually found a used actuator for $100, which in not too bad considering a new one is almost $400.

I missed this thread. The V8 S5 shares about 95% of engine components with the 4.2 Q7. So you don't have to just look for parts off of Q7's.

The actuator I got came off of a 2007 A8L. Thanks for the tip....I'll keep that in mind.
