    Stereo Help

    Hi all,

So i just got my 2013 S4 yesterday, and after I tore up the road I wanted to check out all the features. So, I connected my phone via Bluetooth, but noticed I couldn't stream music. Then I realized there is no Navigation either. Is this like the cheap-o stereo option that I got? Is there a way to upgrade to the Audi stereo that has the Bluetooth audio feature? Or maybe a part to interface with the stereo? Obviously I'm new, so please forgive my ignorance.

    Thanks xoxox

Navigation is an option, you must not have it.

For bluetooth make sure it is enabled on your phone.

There should be two check boxes
    Call Audio
    Phone Audio

By default only call audio was checked on my phone.

I believe bluetooth audio was only included with the navigation package for the B8.5 cars? If that is the case, you would need to purchase an aftermarket solution. The ViseeO Tune2Air works very well. If you have an iPhone, you may need to disable the BT for phone calls while using it, though, or you may hear skips and pauses in the music. There are a few threads on this topic.

I believe all B8.5 cars do have bluetooth regardless if that have Nav/B&O or not. I have the Tune2air in my 2011 with Nav and B&O

So, after doing some more research on the topic, it apperas that if the vehicle doesn't have the Nav option, then I can only connect BT for phone calls because I have the AMI Stereo. Upon further research, it seems that the ViseeO will not work because I have the AMI and not MMI, so I need the Audi BT adapter. Can anyone verify this?

The Tune2Air connects via AMI connector (in the glovebox). I have a buddy that has a non-nav 2014 and he uses the T2A. He has the WMA1000 though. Not sure what the difference is between the two models. I think maybe one has the AMI plug and the other just plugs into the 30-pin iPod connector.

If you're planning on buying a WMA1000, I'm selling mine for $50 shipped. I decided to hard wire my phone instead, so it was only used for a couple of weeks and it's in like new condition.

If your Audi came with the Concert Radio, you will need the WMA3000 if you don't currently have the glovebox adapter.

This part is plug and play, just set up your phone's bluetooth to it and start playing your tunes by selecting the MEDIA button:

You can change the song using the center dash screen, or the left steering wheel controls.

Yes, thats the stereo I have. I do have a cord in the glove box for an ipod connection. So do I just need the WMA1000?
    Thanks for the help!

Yup. That should work. I don't think there's much of a price difference, so I preferred the hard wired WMA3000.
