    Hidden Green Menu in MMI

I cannot get to the hidden green menu through the MMI. I followed the guide on you tube. I turned the ignition on, held the car and setup buttons simultaneously and I get nothing. Do I have to turn this feature on with VAGCom?

Verified that Carista will do this, that how I accessed mine.

On another note, besides the common battery monitoring, what do you guys use it for? (sorry for thread jack)

I've enabled needle sweep, oil level check (even though i use the dipstick) that about it. I've found lots of guides to do euro parking lights, keeping fogs on with high beams, etc but nothing works on my 09, partly due to the fact that the modules are different and I don't have long coding in these modules that the guides say do. I desire greatly to remove the warnings when entering nav data or phone numbers when rolling- they're annoying, but I can't figure it out. I've found numerous guides on doing it on other chassis cars through the information electronics module at address 5F, but my car doesn't have that module....

I can't remember what 5F is but do you not have whatever module that is listed under a different address?

I've used Carista for service reset, rear brakes, needle sweep, customisation of closure (windows and roof) and seat belt chime.

For the price of the unit, I think it's good bang for buck.

5F is 'Information Electronics' Module in B8 chassis cars, and I'd assume maybe C7's? My 09 does not have this module; I don't have any module at this address, nor do I have any module with that name. I could have sworn I had seen another method of removing these warnings on the older cars but I can't for the life of me find it. There's lots of small things like this that make me wish I had bought a '10 or '11.....
what I'd love to know is what the adaptation fields descriptions look like on that module to see if I can figure out how else I may be able to go about it.

I had looked at that page, but there's no module. I also didnt see any adaptation fields that were relevant.

What specific change are you looking to make. I too have an 09 with a tone of VAGCOM mods done on it.

I am looking to remove the warnings in the MMI when trying to enter either NAV or bluetooth/phone data while the car is moving- I know distractions cause accidents, but its annoying. and my wife finds it annoying when we're driving and she's using it. in MMI 3g cars there is an adaptation to do just that in the 5F "information electronics" module.

. I have just discovered via Ross-Tech's website that 2g MMI cars no not have a diag capable info electronics module, and 3g MMI cars dont have diag capable 77 "telephone" modules....
