Looking for some more help please with regards to adjusting the camber on the front wheels. I have an issue with the N/S/F camber on my UK spec 2005 B6 S4 and posted up on here with my alignment results, asking for help. The post is:

I am going to get my garage to fit H&R lowering springs in the next couple of weeks. I thought it would be a good idea to get the subframe adjusted at the same time as detailed by 924Carrera and 2006B6S4 in the above thread. When I discussed this with my mechanic, he was under the impression that there was no movement on the subframe as it just bolted straight in. He said that they had done adjust on other makes of cars using the subframe. We checked a computer system that they use and it showed that there was rear camber adjustment but none for the front. Also, the Bosch 4-wheel alignment system they use didn't show front camber adjustment either. I showed him the above post from the guys saying that it could be done this way. He changed a rotten subframe on a B6 S4 within the last 6-9 months and was pretty sure it bolted straight on with no obvious movement for camber.

Could it be that US spec S4's have subframe camber adjustability but a UK spec, like mine, doesn't? I personally wouldn't have thought so to keep costs down but the US spec come with the door blades painted but UK spec ones don't. I'm going to contact my local Audi garage for some advice on Monday.

Any thoughts, comments and advice would be much appreciated as ever.

your subframe mounts should have slots in them for adjusting the subframe's position and consequently front camber

from your alignment sheet, it looks like the subframe should be shifted to the right, to give more negative camber to that side(-0*35) and removing some from the other(-1*41)

Posting from my phone so no photos, but notice in this link how the subframe bushings have slotted holes. The bushings are pressed into the subframe with the slots oriented right to left, so that the subframe can be horizontally adjusted. There isn't a huge amount of adjustment, but it doesn't take much to adjust tenths of degrees of camber.

That makes sense now if the subframe mounts are used to give the adjustment. As ever, I'm so grateful to my fellow S4 owners who reply so quickly and provide such useful information. Keep up the good work guys!!

    Thanks
