    engine cover post help

Can someone post a picture of the top engine cover post? I need to see where it's exactly located and what it looks like. When my car was in the shop a couple months ago to have the cam chain replaced I don't think they put that post back on since the engine cover is way looser then it used to be and I don't have anything to attach it to now. I want to double check though before I call them

Here you go. It's on the silver bracket. Also, be sure to check the underside of the plastic engine cover to make sure one of the rubber grommets isn't missing.

There is another post near the bottom of the head, on the intake side. You have to remove it or bend it out of the way to remove the cam cradle, so its probably gone or bent. I bent mine and never bent it back, but I simply don't care enough about it to do anything.

    Thanks for the pic KJack.

I normally wouldn't mind so much, at least if I had lost or damaged it but I paid over a grand to have them replace the cam chain, tensioner, cam, HPFP, and follower so I would hope to have the car all back together.

Heck yeah, I totally agree! A car shouldn't come back from the shop with parts missing!
