    2016 S3 BIG tire options, 18's? 19's?

    Hi all,

Looking at some options to get a bit more rubber on the S3. I have Emmanuele Design springs which I hope to have installed next week.

After that I'd like to get a bit more rubber on the car with some Michelin Pilot Super Sports, which I have run in the past on my Audi's. The Pirelli P-Zero's are so damn noisy. Also trying to get a more FLAT sidewall than what the P-Zero is currently doing, wrapping the sidewall - 235/35 19 OEM on OEM 19 x 8 Black Optics wheels.

I am considering any Audi OEM 18" or 19". Open to any and all suggestions. I'd like to stick with an Audi OEM wheel but I have also run OZ's and Volks in the past.

R8 front wheels are a perfect fit in my opinion, they're an OEM option and light. There was a set for sale on the 8V S3 Facebook group recently, might be still available.

    They're 19x8.5 et42.

I'm running the Neuspeed RSe102, they're 19x9 et40 and weight about 20.5 lbs. I haven't swapped out tires yet so I'm running stretched stockers.

The price/performance can't be beat, they retail for $349.95 each.

I like our black optics pkg 19" wheels. I also just bought the ED springs. I'll probably just go with a MPSS 235 or 245/35 and call it a day.

Those are the wheels I plan on getting next month. You have some side shots?

Keep in mind Michelins usually run wider than other brand same sized tires. For example 235 35 18 Michelins run wider than a 235 35 18 Nitto tire. A 245 Nitto might fit, but on the flip side a 245 Michelin might rub. Ensure you look up the actual width of the tire listed in comparison.

I like the black optics wheels, too...especially with a 15mm spacer. The problem is they're boat anchors and weigh around 27 lbs...as opposed to the split-spoke 19" wheels that come with the non-black optics Dynamic package which are forged and weigh around 21 lbs.
