So has anyone heard if JHM will be updating their ECU tune to be able to switch programs using the cruise control stock like they do on the B7 A4.

I've had the JHM tune (downloaded flash) for almost 2 years in my B7.

Slot 1 is the tune and it defaults to it. Slot 2 is stock.

You should be able to feel the difference between tune and stock. You just try the launch control... turnoff ESP and floor it... should stay at 5k RPMs.

One reason that i can think of is if you have 93 tune and 91 is the only premium available.

Don't waste your time program switching via the video unless you already have the second program.

Chances are you don't. Its a $100 option on top of the tune.

So how would we have known that option was available? I just double checked the JHM site and don't see any mention of it. I can't be the only one who would've liked the option.

Also, I specifically asked about program switching at purchase and was told it wasn't an option, now it was just an extra $100 all along?

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the tune but something seems a miss here...

I went with the 91 tune even though my area has only 93 just in case it was't available to find 93 as a precaution. Had I know switching was an option, I likely would've done 93 and stock to get the right tune and have a way to safely run the car on lower oct when needed...

I called the shop that did the flash, and they want a half hour of labor to swap the programs.

I know you don't want to give away the secret sauce; however, a list of options per model year and a list of what the tune does on your site (and provided to the tuners to offer to the customers) would be greatly appreciated.

You could borrow a flashing cable and flash it yourself as well.

Agreed. Had no idea when I got my tune only a few months ago.

Will now have to pay labour and take the time to get the car in the midweek to the shop so I can have 91/93 options.

No offense Jake but just because B6 doesn't have this feature doesn't mean you can't advertise it for B7s. There are plenty of differences between B6 and B7 models.

One blink at a time is program 1 and 2 blinks at a time is program 2.

You set program 1 and 2 when flashing. Basically the first program you bring over is going to be program 1 etc..

Key in on position, cruise control stalk in on position, then hold set button for cruise control and wait for check engine light to flash. Number of flashes indicates program file. Release set button with desired file and then the epc light will come on. After turn key off then turn on. Done!
