    Hello..

Got this fault code 2 months ago.. But didnt have the time to further investigate or fix the problem.. And since the car was running fine it didnt motivate me to get it done..

But for some time now i've had a coolant leak from the back of the inlet manifol.. And it went haywire today.. The plastic was very very fragile and broke

So perfect excuse for getting other things look at.. Also i was excited to see if i would need a carbon clean.. witch i did... So its being taken care of we are gonna let it soak in some cleaner over night..

    Clean vs. dirty "Flaps"

Also i think i have the found the issue with the P2006-2007 codes.. A vacum lean in the front of the engine..

Also.. my friend and i wondered why the manifol looked like this :

I had this code months ago or "codes". Turned out to be vacuum solenoid towards the very front under the manifold. Friend changed it out for me. Otherwise it would have cost about $800+ just to change a $80 solenoid lol.

While I was there we checked for carbon build up. And surprisingly there was VERY little. He's a VW tech and said he surprised how good it looked for just about 80k on my 2010 S5. He did a little manual scrap and sprayed the walls down. Running like a champ since!

About the open valves.. we are closing them tomorrow turn ignition on and put it in neutral.. and then turn the crank.. that is the plan :D

It's the solenoid circled in red in the very front. Vacuum solenoid.

    Hi Pcx !

    Hi PCX,

I had the same piece broken and I also have the CEL codes P2006 + P2007...
And I think I should pop off the intake of my V8 to have a look a the solenoid and the vacuum line...

I juste have a few questions...

    - Are there some "tips" to know when doing this operation ?...

    - Did you make anything with the VAGCOM or the fuses to decrease fuel pressure before disconnecting fuel hoses ?

Many thanks and sorry for my english...

OH and BY THE WAY... Before i did this to my car i was at the STELERSHIP and they had their tester on my car and it stated REPLACE MANIFOL .. Jesus christ that is a very expensive thing to do.. But that was a lie.. As i stated earlier it was the solenoid.. SO DONT TAKE IT TO THE STEALERSHIP!!!! Unless you want to waste $$$$

I had a look on french forums, talkin' about these problems of P2006 and P2007.

Some of them had the whole manifold replaced (and the solenoid, of course).

    1,500 €...
