Findway F518 Style 3D Car Floor Liner - Carpet alternative to Weathertech / Maxpider

So winter is right around the corner here in northeast Ohio and since I am going to drive my S3 all year round I decided I needed to pick up some better floor mats to protect the carpet in the car. Salt sucks.

After looking for options other than Weathertech ( they look like they belong in a work truck ), I came across these.

I was instantly sold on them as soon as I saw they were carpet. Carpet mats just make a car feel so much more comfortable inside than rubber mats. So I ordered them.

So far fitment seems good. They've only been in the car for a few days but I think they are going to work out really well.

And the price is right too. When I first saw them I thought they were $120 with shipping, and they were. But that $120 was actually in CAD so that converts to about $95 USD shipped. Cheaper than Weathertech, cheaper than Maxpider.

I'll update after they have been hit with the elements.

Since they are carpet, how long before the salt destroys them? I have the rubber A3 winter mats for my S3 and in NE Ohio like you. I may consider these, but I am leery about carpet holding up in the winter.

agreed. yes the weathertechs look like they belong in a truck, but I run them all winter and they do their job. Even if this carpet is "waterproof" salt and sand might detroy it pretty quickly

Watch the video I posted. It looks like they should hold up pretty well.

I run weathertechs year round and actually like the look. I think husky liner mats look more like they belong in trucks than weathertechs do
though. In my opinion I would run weathertechs in the winter and maybe these for the spring and summer. Only because the video looks
like a bit of work to clean the salt. In the wintertime with my weathertechs I just do the first step of powerwashing at the carwash then
dry them off and I'm done. To have to scrub these down with a brush especially in the cold weather is a step I would want to skip. But thanks
for the link I might pick these up for the springtime for a more durable carpet feel/look.

I did watch the video. It doesn't mean they will hold up to over time. Carpet is going to wear, even if waterproof.

I think they are going to hold up fine. I don't think they would recommend pressure washing them unless they are built to take a beating.

We will see though! Who knows, they might suck...lol

Just getting my car ready for winter... I ordered the Weathertech custom floor mats... They are fantastic... here is a video I made installing them and relabeling them with a custom S-Line aluminum plaque. https://youtu.be/IoJyaCIz7OQ
