OEM Brake Friction Values (2010 S5)

    Hey all,

I'm taking my S5 out for a track day in a few weeks and was looking to upgrade my brake pads for the day since I've read that fade is a very real thing in these cars after a few hard laps.

My question is: does anyone know the friction values of the stock pads?

THMotorsports has EBC Yellow Stuff pads for a pretty good price so I grabbed a set of those but then realized, I don't actually know if those are going to be an improvement or not!

Any and all help from those in the know or that track their cars would be much appreciated!

Brakes are a huge topic on these cars. Most of us who track a lot have had to seriously upgrade them. You should take a look at the official B8 S4 track drivers thread. There are a bunch of stories and videos on there about EBC, and I would be real careful with the EBC pads.
