What's up guys and gals? I've been on this forum for about 8 years now but mostly in the B6 A4 section because I picked up my first Audi in 2008. It's a 2005 1.8TQM with full Revo Stage 2+ and various other OEM+ mods. It was my daily for the past eight years. However, because my father's daily crapped the bed, he purchased it from me and now enjoys it. (It's currently sitting on 18" Peelers but I don't have pictures)
A couple years ago, I bought a 2000 Hibiscus Red S4 EPL Stage 2 to flip and I drove it around for a year and did routine maintenance and then sold it to another member on here (jimmer009 I believe his name is). What a great car that was.
After I sold the S4, I picked up a 350Z to flip as well but I ended up loving that car (it's still for sale though). So after a year of juggling the B6 and the Z, I decided to pick up a B5 as a daily to keep the miles off the Z. I found a clean, solid, well taken care of 2001 1.8TQM for a great deal locally with 188k on it. Clutch feels strong but there's no record of it being changed. It has several chips on the front bumper and hood from highway driving as well as the dreaded driver seat rear but the interior is mint and the exterior is in good shape for a 15-year-old car. Anyone have a spare silver hood or driver side fender or passenger side fog light grille? I do have some plans for it (not as much as the B6) but I want to make sure the car is 100% in the maintenance department. It has a CEL for P0030 (Heater Control Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1) & P0135 (O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction). I already ordered the Bosch OEM O2 sensor 17090 that will be here shortly so I'll report my findings once I swap that out. Any other ideas for these codes? I searched but changing the O2 sensor seems to be the general consensus. I also have plans for a timing belt/water pump service and a complete fluid flush in the near future. I picked up some B6 sport wheels with decent tires locally for dirt cheap and I ordered an RS4 front grille. As always, pics for clicks. Thanks for reading
