Recommendations on a B7 2.0T DV relocation kit or DIY?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi guys

Done the research etc, seen multiple posts, manly for GTis and B6s however I am looking for recommendations for preferably a 'bolt on' DV relocation kit to work with my K04.

If not, a parts list of the best stuff to use.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks guys!

For a K04 size turbo I'd stick with a GFB DV+. I had no issues with it when I had an F23L turbo. If you really want to go a different route try a Synapse DV. That is what I currently have for my GTX2867r setup.

Synapse DV will require 1" fittings to be installed in piping pre turbo & post turbo for 1" silicone hose to be connected to with the Synapse DV in-line. You'll also need to have an additional boost tap into the intake manifold

Second this, I don't have a K04, but I might in the future. Just get the GFB DV+ with the longer bolts for the K04. I loved the change in response when I swapped it out on my (apparently) leaky K03.

You could use the S3 OEM or Golf R OEM if you are not using an after market / performance intake, I went with the Unitronic relocation kit and modified it to fit my intake non OEM

Ive just pieced together the parts separately. Not cheaper, but was easier in the end.

Synapse DV is an awesome product. Sounds amazing. I used in on the K04, GTX 2863 and GTX 2867. Great product. Some silicone hoses and fittings and you can relocate it to the intake side too.

Yeah I have the GFB+ DV and I now have all the silicon, adaptors etc to relocate to the TB side.

For others inquiring could you provide where you purchased and what you used?? I've seen a few relocations done. But not really sure everyone has, but an update on parts used and cost might be a good thing for this community. I like the idea. I think the only benefit for me wud be more sound but I cud be wrong it may actually react different on the TB side.

I will put up a DIY when I get all the parts. The benefit is colder air recirculation, less chance of surge and clearly, in the case of many KO4s, DV installation on compressor housing is not an option.

Yeah, the cold side vent is a better option anyway.
