    Help asap please

    Today I tried to switch the ignition on my car and it doesn't switch and the steering is lock I can't get to turn the key at all and seems to be locked key doesn't seem to unlock the steering looking into buying the ignition switch / lock cylinder set w/ the key would that be any good ? And has anybody experienced this problem

    Try turning the steering wheel from side to side while trying to turn the key. I'm thinking your steering wheel is just locked.

    edit: Here's a video if that didn't make sense.

    Tried it but nothing worked seems locked and the key won't even turn at all anything else you recommend ?

    Put a small amount of wd-40 on your key. Slide it in and out of the cylinder, cleaning the dirt off of your key after 10 or 15 insertions. Then try to turn the key. Dirt builds up on the pins in the cylinder and causes them to stick.
