    Center Rear Seat Belt removal?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey guys,

I'm still sorting out this airbag light / parking brake error. I've whittled away at the issue for the past 4 months and am now down to replacing the rear seat belts. All are registering "Resistance Too High" on the belt tensioner ignitor and throwing a code.

I pulled the outer two belts out with little, to no problem. There were a few decent DIY threads around. They look so new, don't they?!

However, I'm now at the center belt. How the heck does that come out? It's upholstered into the seat! Anyone know of any tricks to get that tensioner out? I'd rather not rip the black leather all up....

Nobody? guess I should bring it over to the body shop. Hopefully they can help and don't charge me an arm and leg.

Well, the seat belt functions normally, so I'm going to try the resistor trick. Hopefully that'll work. I'll let you know.

I unplugged the wires from near the pass rear door and placed a resistor in there. WORKED LIKE A CHARM!! It's been in there for almost a year and no problems
