Trying to decide between the two. I'm leaning toward the 104 - I really like the 5 spoke look but l'm interested in opinions/photos from anyone that has either. I'm partial to the carbon graphite finish but I was wondering if anyone has the platinum gunmetal in either wheel, especially against Daytona Grey. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Can't tell you exactly why, but I am really liking the v-ff 103 these days.

I faced the same difficult choice when I purchased my wheels. I really like the 5 spoke look as well, but I went with the 103's and I could not be happier.

At the time the 104's were not ready for order yet and the 103's were in stock. Then I learned that the 103's were 2-3 lbs lighter (I don't remember the exact weight of the 104's, but the 103's are 23.6lbs.) The weight savings relative to OEM was definitely noticeable in handling and stability (I'm also on H&R coils and sways.) If you go with 104's you'll give up most, if not all, of the weight savings, but at least you'll have a bigger wheel without added weight.

I'm Interested to see you ride whichever way you decide. Both will look great. Good luck

Oh snap twins, sorta lol. Although mines a B8 in deep sea blue pearl. I'm actually wrapping the window trim & going with carbon mirror caps soon.

Here's a good look at the 103's via cell shots. I run a 5mm spacer on the rear & on H&R OE springs.

That would be my choice as well. Do these need spacers on a RS5 for stock height? Sizing/bolt pattern? Love to see pics once you get them on your ride!

They need 10mm up front to clear the calipers. So one could do 10/10, 10/8 even 10/5. 20x10 ET30 5x112 66.6.

The VFF105 is on sale too. I was shocked when I found out. The 105 weighs about 21.6 pounds.

Thanks for of all of the feedback gents, and the pics too! Some fine looking cars. After much debate, I finally pulled the trigger on the 104s in Carbon. A big thanks to Mops for the hookup. Will post pics after the install, but probably not until I install the new coilovers too for the proper drop

Fun fact... the 20x10 VFF line has been revised to fit the RS5, SQ5, S6 etc BBK. So the concave will be slightly milder, but the wheels will be more versatile. The new ones start arriving over the weeks 2 weeks.

I mounted the new Carbon 104s and love them. I'm scheduled to do the coilover install on the 21st, and I'll post pics after the drop. Just eyeballing it without the drop though looks like a 5mm spacer in the rear like you have would really compliment it. I've never used spacers before and am concerned about installing them. The hub ring is already short on the S5, and I've noticed that the 5mm spacers have no hub ring extender like the the larger spacers. I'm curious about your install and if this was an issue. That being said, do you think a 10mm spacer would be too much protrusion just to get a hub ring extender?

Chris - 5mm allows for the wheel to hang on the OE hub, so you're good. 10mm will have a built-in centering ring.

I always ran 3-5mm more at the rear for that perfect look :)

Looks great! If I were a little bit Lowe than my current H&R OE springs I'd do a 10mm in the rear. It would look killer!

Mine pictured above on the deep sea blue are mercury silver. Pictures don't do hem justice, they are pretty vibrant in person.
