Any experience with this Titanium style Non-S Line Grill? Preparation for DTM Front

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
In short, I may have come across a DTM bumper for cheap which means I'll be going from titanium S Line to DTM front. While I love the look, I won't be forking over the bucks to buy an OE non s line grill and an rs4 grill to cut it up as shown in Phil's DIY. At the time, I can settle.

I was looking to see if anyone had experience with this grill. It looks like an OE replica grill, just gloss black trim like the Titanium. I wanted to know if I can buy the OEM Non-S line plate filler to go with it? For non s-line grills, is anything else needed to mount the plate filler? As mentioned, I currently have an S Line front.

IN addition, I know this has been hacked to death, but are the flat black RS4 style ebay grills for the $75 really that bad for fitment? I know people are OCD and others can blow it out of proportion. its just hard to get a real world opinion, but of course everyone's opinion of decent will differ.

I'm mainly looking at the first one above, but the second is a backup in case. I'm also looking for the grills, washer caps, and the front splitter maybe.

Any other input in preparation and addition to the many threads about the DTM conversion would help!

    Thanks.

Someone's had to have used either grill?

I just bought the first one. I'll let you know how it is, but it looks the same as the one I had on my old car. That one was an oem grille and can be seen here: https://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B7_A4...lle/ES2081142/

Thanks Adam. Exactly, the grill has a partslink number also which I assume to be the same as the way they make CAPA fenders and other body parts. I wanted to go with the mesh also, considering this is pretty much the same grill I already have lol.

Haven't seen any pics of your new DTM lately.

I've had a friend purchase the ECS RS4 grille for non-SLine bumpers and a friend that purchased an ebay version. Both looked identical and installed as easily as one would expect a grille to be installed. I'm planning on doing the same DTM conversion with a full mesh grille and plan on using the ebay grille for the surround myself.

That's because it's in peices in my garage. My build thread has some pictures if you're interested.

Ok this ended up being a fail.... so I picked up the bumper and it was delivered today. It had no photo, but i was guaranteed a return and shipping paid if it was incorrect. Part number was for a DTM bumper, but I got an S Line. Smh.

Can't complain for the price though.

    Hey,
I'm up to something similar. Got the DTM and RS4 style honeycomb grill from ECS. My only problem is I don't know how to run OEM fogs (they're HID now) with the honeycomb grills. I can't find a direct fit, only time consuming mods, and I have no time. Any idea where I can find direct fit DTM black honeycomb fog grills? Sorry to ask a non-related question on your thread, but I figured you might have some knowledge I can obtain. Cheers.
