B1 s1 02 sensor replacement

Has anybody replaced bank 1 s1 02 sensor? If so did you have to remove the throttle body to get to the sensors plug? I looked from above and below but couldn't figure out where the wire goes to unplug it.

Hey, go your PM. I haven't looked, but removing the TB is not hat big a deal. I removed mine a few weeks ago to clean it. It's just 4 bolts and a plug. Pretty simple, but I doubt something that like would be required just to unplug an O2 sensor plug. Seems silly for those German engineers to do that, but then again... haha If I get a chance, I'll look, but just haven't needed to mess with it yet on my end.

It wouldn't surprise me after seeing where they put the cats lol. The wire goes to the back of the engine but there is no room to look around from above or below. Could you see down the back of the engine when you had yours removed?

Yes, you need to remove the throttle body. Good news is, it's extremely simple as previously noted. However, even with the throttle body removed, it's still a pain the butt to get to the plug. Good luck!
