Well, kind of...
I was headed out for a camping trip in my B8 S4 (APR stageII), traveling south from Denver to Telluride on 285 just south of Kenosha Pass when this bad boy came screaming past me...
Mind you I have my wife and Labrador in the car, full sized Thule cargo box on top and everything packed with gear. He got caught up in traffic ahead of me so I was able to catch up. Once I did I stuck to his rear (at a respectable distance) during some high speed passes and a few clear runs up some decent grades when a passing lane became available. Now I'm not saying that he couldn't, only that he didn't take an inch from me at any point when we were both giving it the goods. Granted most of this happened above 9k feet which I am positive helped level the playing field a lot.
When we got to the construction zone where that pic was taken I was sure to lower my rear window so the Labrador could pop her head out. Wonder what the guy was thinking that this family sedan with the cargo box was pacing him up to 125 up hill, probably "I don't give a f**k, I'm driving a GT3!!" I like to imagine his female passenger was at least giving him s**t for not being able to bring her full sized suit case on the trip when he was no faster than the camping car on his tail.
Great color on the GT3 by the way, the black wheels it had were the perfect match.
