iPhone 6s Plus connectivity with MMI

    Hey guys,

I'm thinking about upgrading to an iPhone 6s Plus and I had a couple of questions about the MMI interface on my 2016 S3 with it.

I have the lightning cable connection cable for MMI and wanted to make sure that I'll be able to connect with it.

Also, I wanted to find out if the connection will work just like an iPod with music on my phone, being able to sort through Artists, Songs, Albums, Playlists, etc. I've also read people having issues connecting the iPhone 6 with the MMI, so I was checking to see if that was fixed too.

    Thanks!

I wanna say yes, although I'm an Android guy and never used an iPhone with my MMI plus:

I have an android but I plugged my daughters ipad in and everything works like an iPhone would. Song titles artists everything..... If I didn't hate apple products I'd get an iPhone because it's pretty cool.

I'm just a really big audio guy and I'm ready to get rid of my Windows phone and my iPod nano has NO space.

So, instead of buying a new iPod AND getting a new Windows phone, I figured I'd get an iPhone that can do both.

I just use SD card for storing audio files. You get the same interface when playing from SD (song, album, artist, playlists, ...). Most of my files are FLAC, so there is no point to use an apple device since ios does not playback Lossless Flac files!

How much space is available on the SD card?

Where can the SD card rip from? Can it rip and download music from my iPod? Just got the car and there's a lot I don't know.

I haven't even tried to mess around with that yet.

MMI plus supports up to 2x64GB SD cards. The rip part I'm not sure if you can copy files from ipod! Never had one before

Yeah, but I'd like to use the MMI interface to go through my music. With Bluetooth I have to directly use my phone for everything.

As an alternative, it looks like I can also use MMI Connect with Wi-Fi and stream music that way.

Does Audi's AMI have a cable that can communicate with any Windows OS phone?
