    E85 Tuning

Has anyone run this stuff NA?? You dont need pure e85, a 50/50 blend with 93oct would suffice. Obviously you SHOULD tune for it however the factory ECU's ability to trim up to 25% has shown me that it can handle it, if you don't....

Seeing as 330cc EV14 injectors are fairly cheap and the factory pump can handle the increase. I'm curious!

I figure 10~15whp might be attainable... I never got around to trying the program "Lemmiwinks", "UniSettings" or "CustomCode" on our ECUS (it's used to add timing, fuel and make other changes to the adaptation channels) like i used to do in my VW Jetta days but if someone is willing *AHEM* ZIMBUTHEMONKEY... they should try it.

Without a conversion won't e85 ruin the hoses? Or would the diluting process break it down enough to not be do thick and caustic? Just wondering from what little i have read on it so far.

Here's what I need to see in this thread. VCDS logs of block 002 (click the turbo button for better sample rate).

Post up. I gotta see how much room is left on the stock injectors.

    lol, you rang....?

I was thinking something along those lines the other day. I'd be interested to see how a set of the smallest (550cc IIRC) of the genesis II high pressure injectors at say 80-90 PSI would work on an S4.

I know that Doug from Frankenturbo saw some solid gains (around 5% or so I think) when he tested them back to back with the first gen genesis injectors. No reason that an S4 wouldn't benefit the same.

Are there any of the genesisII injectors that would work on an S4? Only issue is raising the fuel pressure as the regulator is integral to the filter.

    thoughts anyone?

I sell a 330cc in the GenII flavor. That'll be plenty. As far as fuel pressure increase, you'd need a normal fuel filter from a 00~04 VW Jetta/Golf and then you'd use an inline FPR up in the engine bay. Easy enough.

More pressure, better atomization, better overall drivability and response and more power in some cases.

ok I found some of my stock logs from 4 years ago.

Duty Cycle is already at 85%.

With that said you might only be able to get away with E20~E30 On stock 220cc injectors.

    I recommend 330cc.

Go to the B7 A4 section, it's fairly common there. Plenty of people running e85 and meth kits there.
    No longer my "DTM" S4

Rolling STOCK B8.5 S4 for over a year and happy!

Not sure why that matters but ok... Shit I'll add go to the B8 board. The only people in here really using the stuff are boosted and/or drag their cars. Few and far between in this section...

What matters, is I'm trying to quantify results on this particular engine/platform. What the other engines do has no bearing here as that's not the topic.
