Did we test this one on an A4? And with an OEM engine cover?

I've had the old one in my trunk for nearly a year now waiting for this redesign.

+1 returned mine due to the fact it stuck up and pressed into my hood liner plus incorrectly read I was overfilled. So has this in fact been redesigned and actually tested??

This dipstick has been completely reworked from the previous one. Measurement adjustments have been addressed as well as over all height when installed.

Sorry to report but this dipstick made a cut in my hood insulation. It looks to be rubbing against the hood liner.

Can you PM me some pictures of it installed and the damage to the hood liner? Also there is two different dipsticks one for up to 2012 models and one from 2013, can you also list what year vehicle you have as well as your order number?

I received my replacement with the flat handle, but I have to say that it certainly appears that this hasn't solved the issue, because the handle is still higher than the engine cover.



Maybe it's just me, but why isn't this designed to sit below the engine cover? Or, why not remove the piece between the bottom of the handle opening and the top of the plug?

The revision wasn't intended to have the handle sit below the cover. It was to allow for more clearance of the hood. It sits well below our carbon fiber engine cover which sits higher than the factory cover and doesn't hit. You should be fine with clearance.

I called and had them send this new one after the old one sat in my trunk for almost a year.
