    Sports Diff oil change?

    Having the 35k transmission service done and saw that there is no mention of changing the sports diff oil too. Cant find any recommended interval for this, but since there is only 1 quart of the stuff it surely must need changing too. Anyone shed any light on this?

    Only the RS5 and RS7 get the sport diff fluid replaced regularly. On other models, Audi claims the fluid is lifetime. Same goes for the MTF for the gearbox in the RS5. It gets replaced regularly, where as the S5 only gets the ATF for the mechatronic replaced. I guess the higher strung tuning of these components in RS models call for regular fluid changes.

    Hmmm. Yeah I learned all about Audi's 'Lifetime" fluid with the HP24 Tiptronic torque coverter disasters they put in the 03 RS6's that burned black after 10k and they wouldnt change it claiming it was lifetime...Eventually they had to replace the entire unit.. twice...Ummm. Think I have them change the oil in the diff as well..
