Ecs geomet rotors are where it's at. Beautiful, good price, and won't rust. I have em paired with akebono ceramic pads and some SS brake lines and it's a great setup without spending a ton of $$$

On the other side of the fence, I personally buy cheap ceramic pads and rotors. For a daily driver, they work very well. I used to buy the expensive name brand pads and rotors but never noticed a difference between any other off brand that got tossed onto the car. Anyway, that's my two cents...

You sure they're the same? I have S-line brakes and everybody is telling me the caliper is larger in the front, rear is the same though

All b7 A4s in North America have the exact same brakes front and back. Europe for sure had variations but not in the US or Canada.

This. I drive the car to and from work, mostly in stop and go traffic. If the car stops and there's less dust, then I have what I need.

The OEM pads dust like crazy, so lots of dust is sadly quite normal.

Ceramic pads are your best bet. The akebonos have like zero dust. I could go months between wheel washes with mine and have just a light coating of dust.

You know you can just cover up the braking surface and spray paint the center to get the same results.

Also, you can peice a kit together for about $50 a corner most times. It all depends on how much footwork one wants to do for a select part.

    Example:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/191931925984

Not that I would try that kit, but it might be worth a shot.

I had akebonos on my S4 for around a year and had nothing but good experiences all around. Very clean pads, especially compared to OEM.
