DRL Overheat??

Went to replace my DRL yesterday, put in new bulbs and noticed that the grey plastic housing which the bulbs seat into was very black/brown as if it had been over heated. I then found online that they do overheat with some bulbs.

I replaced both sides and they still do not come on. I take it that the plastic housing is damaged?

Is there a simple fix for this so can get the DRL functional again?

I did search but did not find anything about DRL overheating.

Yep replaced mine too. Sadly another bad part used in our cars.

The reflector on my City Lights was beginning to melt a few years ago. What a shitty design. I replaced them with USP leds with inline resistors, but one of the LEDs crapped out and now my Citiy lights are Cycloptic....
