Curt trailer hitch

Has anyone else installed the curt trailer hitch? I did on my 2012 s-line and the fitment is terrible. It sticks out a good 3 inches too far and hugs the bumper to the point that it bends it slightly. Not happy with it at all.

I started a thread about looking into getting a curt or a Genuine hitch a few months ago.
I ended up with getting the Genuine hitch and have got quite a lot of use out of it without any complaints.

I saw that thread too. Too bad the curt hitch doesn't fit very well since it's so much less expensive. And since it's already installed on mine.

I guess there is a reason its less expensive.
I hear their products are good quality but they say it fits touareg and cayenne as well.
