Thinking about buying an S4. This one comes with an APR Stage 2 and a body kit, with other custom parts.

    Is the price worth it?

Fairly good price for that car depending on the accident and maintenance history.

I find it funny how people don't take proper pics of their cars when selling.

that's a nice car, but that is over priced by about $6k imo.

Automatic 2011 with that mileage are KBB in mint condition are for $24-25, this guy's car is moderately modded, with no warranty and a body kit?

nice car, but the owner is delusional with the pricing.

KBB isn't the most accurate. Id say 25k is more fair.

NADA - does it have B&O I ran it w/o - also if he is trying to get his money out of what he put in the car..remember - no bank/credit union cares what aftermarket parts have been added or mods done...nature of the beast when you mod ANY vehicle that is older in the eyes of a financial lending institution

Elaborate please? If you have to purchase at his asking price...then (with a fair amount of probability) fix/replace/repair things as they crop up on a 2nd/3rd owned vehicle - out of warranty?

    Short answer - No

I assume craigslist listers and luxury car sellers are real nickel and dimers as I have to assume they didn't want to pay auto trader or cars.com fee to list - maybe this is flawed thinking but i'd never even consider listing on craigslist so nice find.

This is true. If I were to sell I'd throw my car up on AutoTrader and CarGurus. And on here.

I think craigslist would be better than an Audi forum if you're a seller. Most forum members already have "that" car (that = the make and model discussed on the forum).

And maybe this car had the mods he wants and he can save the $15k?

Pretty silly to be on a forum and automatically make the leap "mods = molested".

If the owner can afford that body kit ($$$$) and has APR tune and AWE exhaust - he clearly has money to care for the car (doesn't mean he did). Not like it's some beat hoopty with eBay parts.

No clue why I'm arguing with this. You won't change your stance. It's worth whatever someone pays for it.

I'd say Private sale should be 25k.

He has it listed at 28k. That's fair for the right buyer who would stage 2 the car anyways and loves the body kit. Talk him down 1-2k and it's right in line.

As hypocritical as it it I agree... I prefer to buy new with clean slate but if I bought used I'd also prefer a non-modded car. I'm too particular with what I'd want to do to the car.
That being said - Buying used is a risk in any respect. Plenty of OEM cars out there that have been terribly maintained. All of my friends who mod their vehicles take much MUCH better care of those cars vs the majority of my friends who don't mod.

I didn't read the past 20+ posts so disregard if already mentioned/discussed but....why not look at a 2013+ B8.5? A lot of the issues have been worked out and if you're content with high miles (that one you posted is over 70K) you can get into a 2013 for same/similar $$. I wouldn't gamble on this one with those miles and mods but that's just me....

    Right on the money.

My experience with most enthusiast owners is that they are meticulous with their cars so even if the car is modded and may have been driven hard, it's very well maintained. Seems that most of the problems you hear about are on garage queens that are never driven, or are never driven very hard and just stop working well for whatever reason.

That being said, my old man claims it was my youthful exuberance and heavy right foot that blew the head gasket on our 1991 Plymouth Vorager 4 banger at 80k miles despite our meticulous maintenance program. I say design flaw, he says flogging. We may never know the truth.

All depends on how it's been cared for. I'm wary of buying any used car, modded or not... you need to meet the seller and seen the condition of things like door jams, under the hood, trunk jams, interior, the maintenance history, curb rash on wheels etc... then you can start putting the story together. The higher the miles on the car the more important that story is.

The only MY S4 I'd stay away from are the 13's. They've been the most problematic.
