Planning on purchasing a 2017 TTS in April/May of 2017, looking for advice

    Good afternoon,

Early last year I bought my first German car, a 2015 GTi. I fell in love with the fit and finish of the car, and can only imagine how much nicer an Audi is. After some research I have settled on the TTS as it fits my needs the best. I'm deploying in October and will be back around March of next year. When I get back I plan on making my purchase. To those who have bought a 2016+ TTS, a few questions:

Are there any commonly failing items I should look out for? I know the GTI has water pump and turbo issues, are any of those relevant to this platform?
I live in the Baltimore area and am not opposed to traveling a bit to get a car from a good dealership. Since Audi is a more upscale manufacturer, are most dealerships the same in regards to customer service? I don't want to drive somewhere out of my normal commuting area for a good deal, just to be treated poorly by their sales people.
Speaking of deals, what kind of deal can I expect to work? I have fairly good negotiating skills but is there much room in the pricing of the car? Any suggestions you have for getting a good deal?

I've had my '16 for almost a year now with absolutely no issues. However some folks have had seat trim pieces detaching for which there is a TSB to repair under warranty.

Dealerships can be hit or miss regardless of the manufacturer "pedigree." But you don't need to get service where you buy. Speaking of service be sure to consider the Audi Care maintenance plan which is a good value.

As far as deals I would encourage you to now join Audi Club North America (ACNA) so you'll have time to quality for their 6% below MSRP loyalty program ("6 months prior to purchase"). No hassle with no negotiation required. http://www.audiclubna.org/resources/...oyalty-program

All the best with your deployment and future purchase!

Thanks for the advice! As far as the 6% guaranteed pricing, is that a minimum or is that the set in stone price?

6% below MSRP guaranteed in writing which you take to the dealership. You just call the secretary to initiate. Not including/affecting tax and title of course. Limit one new vehicle per year.

If you go the ACNA route there is no further negotiation. 6% off MSRP is quite good for this premium brand tho'.

Fantastic. I just paid for my membership. That fits right in with my purchase period. Thanks for the heads up.
