    Running Rich - Seeking Advice

    Car: 2001 1.8T AWM w/ K03
    Tune: APR Stage 1 91 Octane

    Symptoms
    • STFT: -26.5
    • LTFT: -8
    • AFR is around 11-12when starting car before ECU adjusts fuel trims
    • Boost spikes at 20 PSI in second gear and above, tapers down to 14 PSI by redline
    • Poor fuel economy
    • Backfires when revving
    • Feels like losing power in higher RPMs when boost tapers off


    Tests
    • Coolant temperature normal
    • Passed boost leak via Turbo Inlet @ 5 PSI
    • O2 sensor is new
    • FPR is new
    • Compression normal
    • No codes


    Does anyone have advice as to where I should check next? I'm stumped lol. Thank you for your time!

    it's an 01 so monitor block 031 and see if you're actually running rich or if the ECU is able to compensate for it.

    You throw a code? with a LTFT of -8 I doubt it, codes are thrown over 10% corrections, unless I'm mistaken.
