    Switched from C7 S6 to a CPO SQ5 today

Hey fellas. I have been a long time lurker and poster on the forums since my B8 S4 that I had years ago. I traded that in and bought the S6 in the beginning of 2014. Although the S6 was an amazing car between the power of the motor and the overall looks, it just wasn't for me and I was never really happy with the car. As strange as it sounds I really missed the S4 and started searching for one used. I always wanted to buy a suv too so with reading a lot of posts here about the SQ5 made it seem like a good mix of everything I was looking for in a car. So today I took a 13 hour ride to trade my car in for a clean CPO SQ5 and so far couldn't be happier with my decision.

I don't think I will be modifying the SQ much aside from the small coding changes and window tint but we will see. There are several amazing looking Q's and SQ's on here and I might have to bite the bullet to tastefully modify. It could be a little lower.

Very nice on both of them, congrats. You can take the side badges off first.

Congratulations to you! I hope you love yours as much as I do mine. That S6 was really sweet - such an awesome car. I know what you mean, though - or at least, I think I do. There's a part of me that would love a really nice enthusiast-esque sedan, but for everything I do it really wouldn't make much sense. The SQ pretty much is my dream vehicle.

Anyway...yaba yaba. I type too much. Enjoy your new machine!

Congrats indeed! I love the SQ so much I bought another one. Personally, the only thing better for me than the SQ5, would be an S7. Sure. . .the RS7 would be nice, but I'm trying to be realistic here. Enjoy the SQ, and don't let anyone pressure you into a mod you don't want. For instance, I'm fully modded, but I'm not lowered. Why, you ask? Because I'm in Texas and this is an SUV. If I wanted lower, a Golf would have been a lot cheaper. Check this out: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...1#post11845287

Congrats! Beautiful SQ5! I too have not modded much since I use mine for commuting every day. I only have done a couple of things and suspension is one I won't touch. Enjoy!

Thanks guys. The car drives great I love it so far. After putting about 500 miles on it bringing it back and doing a couple things this weekend I already got use to it.

I think I will just do some window tint and possibly look into pricing out the OEM trailer hitch.

The motor was really great however my 10 mile total commute never really let me use it to its full potential.

Mine was lowered with the computer and I had spacers. It sat very flush. That's the only thing I would say about the SQ I do not like, it sits too high.

What influenced your decision and what didn't you like about the S6? I'm looking to go the other way but hopefully keep the SQ5 in the garage with a C7.5 next to it in the future.

I have always wanted a suv and when I was selling my S4 I was looking for a certified used Cayenne or the new Range Rover Sport but the S6 popped up and the deal was too good to pass up so I went for it. Coming from the S4 its a much bigger car and doesn't handle the way a S4 does. I loved the MMI in it, the LED headlights and the power of the 4.0T motor but aside from that I couldn't fall in love with anything else about the car. It was fast in a straight line but my commute sucked fuel down and was too short for me to enjoy its power. The adaptive cruise control I hated, it would brake too hard and then not accelerate. Plus I had it lowered and Pittsburgh area roads are horrible so I was always worried I would hit something.

S6 was out of warranty and I was getting worried if something broke it would be insane money to fix so I jumped ship and went for the SQ5. I cross shopped it with the Macan and Cayenne again but couldn't justify their prices. Same with a B8.5 S4 to go back to that would be nothing special.

Yeah I don't know why I forgot to do that since I did it with all my previous cars.

I went in to change the settings so the car starts in Individual every time. But now the car is only showing Comfort and Individual at the drive select screen.

All good. I figured out the stock settings and cleared everything back to stock so now the MMI is showing Comfort, Auto, Dynamic and Individual. Little scare but I got it handled.

Welcome and congrats on the SQ! You're gonna love it! I'm on my 2nd SQ...that's how much I love this beast. Let's put it this way, before I picked up my 2nd one, I had already signed papers for a fully loaded S3, took delivery, got in about to drive home....then about 5 mins of sitting in the car and setting it up, I realized damn.....I miss the SQ. Got out, told my salesguy to shred the papers and get me in another SQ. took delivery of the 2nd SQ, keys in hand setting up the car and said to myself, Much better!!!! Went home with a smile.
