My new Florett Silver '16 S3 = wow I had no idea!

As always, I appreciate everyone's contributions to these great forums. So I wanted to also share the latest in my Audi chapters.

After many years of various B8 S4's and S5's etc etc I bit the bullet and went with a 2016 S3. I had driven the A3 when it first came out, I liked it just because it reminded me so much of my B5 (which I still have). Obviously I was really looking forward to the S3 at that time. But I stayed with B8 and B8.5 S4's for a couple years. I sold my last B8, a Nogaro edition last spring. Since then I've been driving a 2017 A4 2.0T quattro. Amazing car for sure but it felt a bit magoo after driving S and RS cars for so long. And although the B9 A4 isn't much bigger than the B8 it physically feels noticeably bigger, more of a mid-size feel than the B8 had.

Get to the point.

Recently I drove a 2017 S5, familiar, too familiar. Drove TT and TTS, temping, very temping. Then salesman who is an awesome dude and very helpful and patient with me said "let me show you something I found, just consider it" - he showed me a printout of this Florett Silver black optics S3. Guess what? I now have an S3! This car is just the right size and a blast to drive. It gets a bit angry at times, truly and S Audi. Looking forward to some simple / subtle mods and sharing the experience with y'all.

What a beauty . Got my s3 in July loving every minute of it. Your car is perfectly optioned. My two favorite colors were florett which I couldn't find one with black/gray interior at the time and monsoon which I ended up getting. Also sepang which is beautiful also

Monsoon was my next option, was amazed to find this car already built, dealer traded to get it. I'm pretty amazed so far!

Just got mine yesterday. Same color!! The black optics look great.

I know what you mean man. The car itself is flying under the radar right now. It was never on my list of cars to test drive until a few weeks ago.

That is an amazing spec to get from a dealership!
This car is so underrated in terms of just how awesome it is. I've had mine for about a year and I love it so much, and I know you will too!

Florett Silver and Black Optics!!

Is it just me or does this seem to be the most rare combo for this car other than individual colors? I love my sepang/black optics. However, If I could have found silver I definitely would have purchased it. MORE PICS!!!

Wow Florett with Black Optics looks great. Wheels go nicely with silver. Carbon Fiber parts look great also. That is a really nicely equipped S3.

We love the size of our S3, its just what we were looking for a small, responsive car with some luxury features.

Congrats! I'm also a fan of the S3 because it reminds me of the B5. The A4 is to big for me now (as of B8), and the 8v is just right.

Hey all, really enjoying the S3. I went from a Nogaro B8.5 to a Monsoon B9 A4 in the spring. The size / performance is the main reason I switched to the 8V S3 ... really enjoying the car!! I have nicknamed her QuattroRoboto lol ...

Nice florett! .. Can you please post some more pics showing the whole car in normal lighting? I'd love to see how the carbon and black optics accentuate the silver. Wanted a 2017 in monsoon or sepang but they scraped those colors, next thought is florett or daytona. Daytona seems a little dark when not full light, I already have this problem with my Carbon steel grey GTI(90% it looks too dark like dark green/grey, bright light it looks good). Thanks

Yes y'all - the S3 is a darn fine vehicle. Another 100 hp would be nice of course, and better brakes with it. But still, it's hard to beat for the money.
