The models are the same for 8 or 8.5. It's just that the tips that are offered in both sizes for 8.5 and only 90mm in the 8. The valance on the 8 is smaller where the tips are and won't fit the 102mm.

I could still look into it since he doesn't have the DP's available. Has anyone heard the tone on a track edition with resonated DP's? I definitely don't want too much drone and that ricer rasp. I'm looking for a subtle yet deep growl when gasing it. I've heard that the track edition can get really loud almost obnoxiously loud with the non res DP's. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

I had the track for 6 weeks (stock downpipes) and the drone was rough even with my 6MT. I swapped over to a touring. neither sound ricer. I actually preferred the growl of the track but the drone was too much on the highway. the touring is basically the same volume at WOT but no drone. im thinking about adding Non-resonated pipes to my touring actually. resonated downpipes on a track will still drone.

I actually was talking to Josh at AWE yesterday about the same thing. there will definitely be more volume with the non-res DPs but it isn't drone. the drone gets canceled by the touring rear resonators.

Ok listen to me.... I own the non-res downpipes with the awe touring exhaust, not only is it to loud, when you press the throttle even slightly hard you cannot talk in the cabin. The drone is heavy but I do not mind drone I just wanted to let you guys know. I am going back to stock DPs today and my less than 2 week old set of NON RES DPs with less than 200 miles are ready to go to one of you. Paid around 700 plus shipping. People's perception of Drone is hard to gauge. Most don't even know what it is. Resonated DPS would definitely reduce drone but being honest I think it's impossible to get rid of it with DSG.

Huge difference between touring with AWE's resonated dp's and the stock dp's. I have full touring with AWE resonated dp's and tried the stockers first, the difference was very noticeable. Stock dp's drone a lot around 2-4k rpm where the AWE dp's reduce about 80% of this IMO.
