Frequent CELs - what can the root cause be?

My car: 2010 A4 Quattro prem plus 6MT 60k miles

Hi, I have been getting various CELs lately. Since the car drives fine, I just erase them :). The CEL codes are getting more threatening though, so I hope you can help me pinpoint the root cause issue.

There are posts on this forum discussing each of the various CEL codes I am getting. They point to multiple possible issues though. I hope based on my description below, we can narrow the possible causes.

So, in Jan and Feb I received code P2015 4-5 times: Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1.

Then there were no Cels for a few months. I drive ~1k miles/month btw.

Then in July I started getting this 4 codes combo:
P2015: Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance Bank
P2187 System Too Lean at Idle (Bank 1) DTC
P0507 - Idle Air Control System RPM Higher Than Expected
    P2279 Intake Air System Leak

I would get the combo above approximately once per week till two days ago, when the codes became more threatening:
    P2279 Intake Air System Leak
    P0300 Random Misfire
    P0301 Code - Cylinder #1 Misfire
    P0302 Code - Cylinder #2 Misfire
    P0303 Code - Cylinder #3 Misfire
    P0304 Code - Cylinder #4 Misfire

The car drives fine as always. I reset the codes and there has been no Cel for 2 days now

Pls help out. What do you think is the root cause?

    Thx,
    Michael

    Maf sensor?
    Pcv?
    Coilpack?
    Hpfp?
    Other?

Based on the info i found online, most likely my pcv is failing.

More specifically I found the following pcv test: Put your finger on the valve at the marked spot (see photo below) while engine runs . If you feel suction the valve is broken.

I feel quite of suction. Not sure if this test is accurate though. Will appreciate if you try it out and advise

    Thx
    Michael

No clue. But there is an updated pcv version that I would recommend installing anyway.

I think I had some of those codes in my 2012 A4 at about 100k miles - it was the breather valve and there is an updated part as someone mentioned. But, there was also a throttle position sensor or something like that integrated into the intake manifold that was bad. Need to replace the whole intake manifold. I bought the OEM part from Deutsche Autoparts. Problem solved.

This is an issue with the intake manifold. The plastic black piece. It only cost $160 and u can diy. Dealer will charge u $800 because of labor

The reason I know this is because I got the same codes and heavy misfiring because my runner flap which is inside the intake manifold was stuck.

Quick update - took the car to an Audi indie mechanic in SF. The root causes were: failed PCV (if it sucks air as captured in photo above it needs to be replaced) + bad intake manifold sensor, so the entire intake manifold assembly had to be replaced. Mechanic found small leak from the water pump, so entire water pump assembly had to be replaced as well. End result: $2k bill. Brrr. And all of this despite that car has been babied and has only 62k miles.

Mechanic told me that he saw signs of carbon build up while performing the above work - but didn't do anything about it

Thought this may be useful info for some of you
