Code 1134, Alarm Horn (H12) fault

    Hi guys,

Trying to clear all the misc codes on my B6 S4. The alarm horn doesnt work per the 1134 code. I've read that the car has a battery back-up unit installed in the truck rear right side, with the actual horn possibly in the front right wheel well?

    Can anyone confirm this. Thanks

I know my B6 has a battery mounted under the sub box in the well behind the passenger rear wheel. It is bolted to the seam where the well is welded to the floor pan. Sedans have it in the same spot as far as in know.

Correction, it's the horn with battery box attached. The horn actually "firing" out through the HVAC vent at the back of the well.
There is aperantly a problem getting the odd size batteries Audi used and I've added a how to I found to modify for different batteries, it shows the unit and location.

After cutting open the sounder found this mess. Will have to get the circuit board checked out before looking for batteries.

Found the batteries here. I presume they are the correct ones
