    VCDS Output test for Diverter Valve? N249

    Is there any way to do a solenoid test for the Diverter Valve? A simple open/close test via vag-com? Can't find it anywhere in the output tests or on their site.

    Also wondering the same for the N249 valve?

    Wait, the N249 IS the Diverter Valve? I was thinking they were separate valves.

    No the 249 I believe is the cam adjustment sensor and n85 is the diverter valve.

    According to JHM's page the DV is the n249. I don't think n85 is even a thing, are you thinking n80?

    Regardless of the valve name, does anyone know of a way to test the diverter valve solenoid using a vag-com? Or can I just connect 12v to it to see if it opens and closes properly?

    In Vagcom when you're in the engine module go to output tests and click the dropdown box and you can pick the diverter valve test and it should click the DV open and closed.

    Ok, I'll give that a shot, wasn't sure if it actually activated the DV, the option says something like 'Turbo Bypass electrical system check' but I should hear the DV opening and closing? I did try it and did not hear an open and close click. Suspect my DV may be shot...
